Starwood Design + Build
Starwood is a family owned and operated full service real estate development firm serving the greater Richmond area. They contracted me to design a new logo for their business that reflected a contemporary but timeless aesthetic.
During the planning phase, I was in Europe traveling to Amsterdam, Bruges, De Haan, and Paris, and used the efficient but natural aesthetic I observed to inspire the design process. The end result features a logo with modern timelessness and a flexible brand that adapts across mediums.
They requested a mark that had a modern, fine-line aesthetic where their industry was easily and quickly discernible. As a design firm themselves, they brought an attentive eye to the fine details and inspired me to elevate the craft of the logo to reflect that aspect of their business. Because they provide a service that is both creative and practical, the mark had to reflect a simple, aesthetic beauty with pixel-perfect construction.
