Ukrops Monument Avenue 10k
The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k first ran in 2000 and has been named one of the best in the country by USA Today. A staple event in Richmond, it’s grown to be the 4th largest 10k in the country and 22nd largest race overall.
From a branding perspective, this annual event faces a recurring challenge of maintaining a fresh and relevant visual identity in order to grow the event and retain regular participants – maintaining brand recognition but implementing fresh visual language. An event of this scale requires a wide variety of signage, print, and digital needs, as well as knowledge of production timelines and robust relationships with printers and vendors.
I made custom sized vinyl signs, mesh wayfinding stanchions, and a variety of different sized wayfinding. I also contributed merch design, billboard design, and other print and digital advertising for this event as well as other Sports Backers events.
